Larryland Adventures

Larry,

A short note to say thank-you for organizing and running the team building

retreat for our team. It was fantastic. I will certainly recommend your program

to others. Thanks also to your wife and daughters for their help.

Your program provided an exceptional number of team and character  building

opportunities for the boys presented in simple, easy to  understand scenarios.

Your experience as a teacher, as well as your  communication skills allowed

the boys, through trial and error and  personal interaction, to achieve success

in each of the tasks  they were asked to perform. More important, the boys

were able to understand why  they improved and why they were successful. All the

boys were challenged and  none of them were made to feel that they had not

been successful.

We look forward to receiving the dvd/video. Kyle and I anticipate being  able

to use it throughout the year as part of our ongoing team building  exercises.

Yours Truly

Our Humber Colleges Women's Basketball Team really enjoys coming to "Larry

Land". The girls get to know each other by working on team building

skills and they open up and learn from each other. It really helps start

our year off on the right foot. It is a long year and if there are

issues that arise during the year we always go back to our team building

day and use what we learned to help us get through team or individual

concerns. Larry reiterates what we as coaches are telling our teams. To

have someone else bring another perspective makes our job a little bit

easier.

Larry, great to hear from you. Our team is having a phenomenal season thus

far.  The boys have bought into our system and

not a game or practice goes by that we don't bring up some quote or draw on

a lesson from Larryland. I for one, enjoyed and found the 2 days very

worthwhile. My son just asked today if we could go back. I know Dave was

impressed as well and he often recounts our experiences during practices and

pregame/postgame chats.

Thanks again for a memorable weekend,

Hi Larry!

Our team is playing pretty good, we have taken on three of the

top four teams so far and stayed very close (1 or 2 goal losses ),

I am finding that I need to continuously reinforce various parts or

lessons from the weekend retreat - the boys sometime fall into some MSU

or other issues.  The good thing is it's very easy to bring them back to

focus because I can reference things back to that weekend and they

respond well to it.  We are currently working on mental game preparation

- i.e.; visualization and positive self talk.

Coaches Lecture: Great Job, you obviously love this stuff!,  Many

coaches felt that the short time we gave you didn't justify the info you

wanted to give them (one even went in to work late because he thought it

was great) - you did stimulate a number of them to ask for more info or

to suggest that we invite you back later in the season.  A couple of

coaches asked about bringing their teams up with you to the retreat.

Take care

welcome to the world as seen through my eyes

Larry,

The feedback has been great from the girls. They really

enjoyed your session and the activities were fun.

I will be discussing with you in the near future the

possibility of making this part of the yearly routine for

  women's volleyball.

Hi Larry,

Season is going ..knock on wood..we have won every tournament we have entered

and are currently ranked #1 in Ontario and 3rd in Canada.  We have been able to

use many of the things you covered at different points already in the season.

Thanks,
